Prep time: 5-10 min (depending on if you cut your own celery)
Ingredients:
10 oz. container Sabra Spinach and Artichoke Hummus
1 box of Town House Pita Sea Salt Crackers
1 bag of pretzels
1 package of pita bread
Celery sticks
Carrot sticks
1 tsp. of cayenne pepper (optional)
-Microwave all hummus in a microwave-safe bowl until warm, about 90 seconds.
-Warm up the two slices of pita bread until soft and warm, about 15-30 seconds. Then, cut each piece of pita into eight single slices.
-Sprinkle cayenne pepper on top of hummus.
-Spread, dip, or put spoonful’s of hummus on a slice of pita bread, a pretzel, or a veggie stick and enjoy!
This is a quick and easy snack anyone can make! You don’t have to be a Culinologist for it to taste yummy because someone already did that for you. There are also different flavors of hummus, but the Sabra Spinach and Artichoke Hummus is available at Walmart for $2.98. As for the pita bread, there are a few different brands to choose from, but the cheapest one I found was Joseph’s Heart Friendly pita bread that was $2.28 for five slices of pita. You can also find the Town House Pita Sea Salt Crackers at Walmart for $2.50. As for the pretzels and veggie sticks, you can use any size or shape of pretzel, and you can use baby carrots or cut up your own celery!
