The Vice Presidental (VP) debate was on Oct. 1, 2024, between Minnesota governor Tim Walz and Ohio Junior Senator JD Vance.
The VP debate was a reasonable debate without excessive fact checks and arguments. This debate showed that both republicans and democrats can get along. Both Vance and Walz said “I agree” multiple times after each of them answered questions.
America needed a debate with no offhand lines like “They’re eating the dogs. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there,” said by former President Trump at a debate in Ohio.
The American viewer came to like both Vance in Walz because of the way the debate went. Julie, one viewer of the debate said that Vance and Walz should be on a presidential ticket together.
Another good thing about the VP debate was there was no clear winner. Unlike the Presidental debate where there were many people who thought that Kamala Harris won Based on polls posted after the debate. However, the polls in this debate showed there was not a clear winner.
Both Vance and Walz laid out their idea for what direction the country should go, and it was good that America had a debate where there was no clear winner.
America came out of this VP debate with hope. That hope was that both republicans and democrats can get along again and debate the issues that matter.
This may be the last debate before the election, Both Vance and Walz were able to show the American people we can debate and then shake hands. Hopefully Americans can now debate the issues in a more of a nice way and that is how our country will unite.
