Women’s golf takes fourth

The SMSU women’s golf team finished with a team total of 670. They tied with Minot State for fourth  in the 12 team event held at Marshall Golf Club held on September 24-25.

The playing conditions were tough on the final day of the tournament with wind gusts up to 25 mph and temperatures in the lower to mid-60s.

Augustana University won the team tournament with a team score of 633. Minnesota State Mankato finished second with a score of 644.

SMSU’s Meagan Will shot a career low 77 during Saturday’s round but with the tough conditions on Sunday she dropped 4 shots and finished with an 81. Will finished 5th with a total score of 158 giving her a second top 5 finish in her career at SMSU.
