Minnesota Wild

After winning six straight games to close out the month of March, the Minnesota Wild have now lost five games in a row as they enter the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

This season has been a very memorable one for Wild fans. After one of the best starts in franchise history, The Wild lost 12 out of 13 games mid-season, resulting in former head coach Mike Yeo getting fired.

After Yeo’s firing, the team rallied and strung some wins together getting them back in to playoff contention.

The Wild’s post season is not as appealing as fans would have hoped. The Wild are not only entering the playoffs on a five game losing streak, but they are also entering with 87 total points, which is the lowest of any playoff team in the Stanley Cup Playoffs era.

The Wild will be facing off against the Dallas Stars in the quarter final round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The wild are 1-3 against the Stars this season but two of those three losses were in overtime. It will be interesting to see if the Wild can turn their season around on such short notice.
