Chris Christie, the Governor of New Jersey, until a month ago was most likely going to be one of the GOP front runners for 2016 presidential elections. That was before the bridge scandal and that was before one person died.
To be fair, it is still under investigation whether the delays of the bridge influenced in any way the death of the 91 year old New Jersey resident. But along with her death four other emergency responses were delayed because of the heavy traffic.
But to speak realistically it is very unlikely almost impossible to believe that Gov. Chris Christie will run in 2016 now. To make matters worse for the Governor, the allegations that he would resort to strong arming techniques is more believable when you look at his past behavior. Numerous times on video the Governor has been seen yelling and insulting his own constituents in attempts to make them feel small.
Even if nothing happens and all charges are dropped or he is found innocent he will not be a runner. You may recall that during the 2012 primary’s Herman Cain was involved with some very serious scandals and even though most of the charges were dropped or settled out of court, he was quickly dropped by the American people as a potential presidential nominee.
