“Despicable Me 4” was a spectacular movie. It was great because it shows how well Gru (the main character), and his family can overcome obstacles.
His family consists of wife Lucy, there three daughters, Margo, Edith and Agnes and the newest character, Gru Jr are the main characters in the movie.
Gru works for the anti-villain league, and they end up having to move out of their house because they are in danger of the villain public knowing where they live and Gru’s family could be exposed.
The villains have a phone line to tell where the good humans are to help the other villains out. This is how the villain of the movie, Maxime Le Mal, finds out where they live. This is where the movie picks up.
Gru is searching for a different villain with the new neighbor kid. The villain is Gru’s old principal, Frau Ubelschlecht. They break into her house to look for her. They don’t find her but Gru and the Neighbor kid trip an alarm so they must leave quickly.
That was how the principal was able to tell the other villains where the family lives. This is how the kids end up getting attacked.
Gru’s kids are having a get together when Frau Ubelschlecht ends up knocking on the door. Agnes answers the door, and Frau starts attacking the kids. When Gru and Lucy come home they see what’s happening. Gru starts defending his family by fighting against his old principal. The baby ends up getting away and Maxime Le Mal grabs him.
This scene is one of my favorites because it shows how much Gru cares about his kids. I’m glad that Gru won the fight but sad about the baby getting away. Now Gru has to go to the rescue.
He brings three minions to get Gru Jr. back. He catches up to Maxime though the baby is now an insect. Due to Maxime’s evil scheme hoping the baby will help commit crime with him.
The baby starts resisting being an insect when he can hear his dad’s voice. Gru and Maxime end up fighting back and forth, but Gru is the victor and gets his baby back. He then brings Maxime to the Anti Villan League jail.
The Jail ends up having a good time with them all having a dance party with the cops and the villains in jail. They have a dance party because they know that they might be in jail, but they can all get along and getting along with the cops in jail is never a bad thing. Life is good for everyone at the end of Despicable Me 4.
Throughout the movie you can feel the suspense with the villain having the baby. Suspense is good for the movie, and it made me want to watch more and the suspense finally ended with a happy ending which was a great thing.
I don’t get why we had another villain like Frau in the movie when we already had Maxime. It just made the movie seem like it was going overboard with villains, and it was not a great thing for a good movie.
Overall, it was a great movie, and it was another great way to do a ‘Despicable me’ movie. I give it a ten out of ten and my grandma who recently passed would have loved this movie.
