For those currently unaware of the recent changes that will be made to D2L (Desire 2 Learn) and E-Services, MnSCU (Minnesota State Colleges and Universities) has implemented a new log-in procedure for students and faculty to access their accounts for both the D2L and E-Services pages.
The new log-in procedure will begin Monday, March 24 for D2L, requiring all faculty and students of MnSCU colleges to log in using their StarID versus the current Mustang ID number or username. To change the account log-in to receive a StarID, go to https://starid.mnscu.edu/.
Though faculty and students can log into E-Services using a StarID at the current time, this new log-in will be made effective for this page starting April 3.
According to the MnScu website, the StarID log-in procedure will be used so that students and faculty can “one ID, one password, everywhere” for those services that are in conjuction with the StarID program. The goal for implementing this new program is to reduce the number of usernames and passwords that faculty and students currently use and will allow them to use it at more than just one university (all MnSCU schools are included).
More information about the StarID change will be available soon.
