SMSU Theater 2018-2019 lineup
There are many plays and musicals put on every year, and this year is no exception. There are a wide variety of shows being performed at Southwest Minnesota State University this year.
The SMSU Theater Department will be performing “Young Frankenstein,” by Mel Brooks and directed by Mike Lenz, and “Trenchcoat In Common,” by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb and directed by Matthew Murry, are both being performed during the fall semester. “Miss Electricity,” by Kathryn Walat and directed by Nadine Schmidt, and Jane Austen’s “Sense and Sensibility,” directed by Sheila Tabaka, will be performed in the spring semester.
The Drama Club lineup includes “Unnecessary Farce,” by Paul Slade Smith and directed by Danny McDonnell, in the fall semester, and “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” by Clark Gesner and John Gordon directed by Paul Ragan, in the spring semester.
I want to write more in depth about the shows during every Spur issue, so I figured this would be a good way to start off and go into Young Frankenstein during the next issue.
