A little known movie that in America didn’t make a big splash, but was a fantastic movie is “Joe” starring Nicolas Cage and Tye Sheridan.
The movie starts off with Tye Sheridan with his homeless father sitting beside the train tracks. Which quickly escalates into Tye being beaten by his father, and then almost bittersweet his father gets beaten up for some money just a few moments later. Tye and his homeless family eventually come to the same town where Joe (Nicolas Cage) lives and that is when the story really takes off. The relationship that Tye and Nicolas Cage build in this movie is fantastic and is not easily forgotten.
This movie just like the character it’s named after, holds no punches. It will leave you hurt and broken, and then it will put you back together. If you get the chance to see this movie in theaters or rent/buy I highly recommend that you do just that.
