For those who play their games on PC or Mac, most would tell you that the gaming distribution software known as Steam is what you would use to get almost any game you can get for a reasonable price. And they would be right. But that isn’t the only way. What if you don’t have the money to get that many games? Well never fear now, the Humble Bundle is here to give you your gaming needs. The Humble Bundle is a website that updates weekly and bi-weekly with different gaming bundles to purchase. For example, the Humble Sid Meier Bundle is currently going on until the 17th of February, where all eight games in the bundle were created by the company Sid Meier. Sounds expensive, right? Wrong. The thing about the Humble Bundle is that YOU pick what you have to pay, as long as its above $1. There are restrictions, like you can only get five of the eight games from the Sid Meier bundle for $1, while two other games are unlocked if you pay $9.05, and the last one is unlocked if you pay $15. The more expensive games are usually newer, but that also means you probably getting a huge deal regardless.
The other great thing about the Humble Bundle is that most of the proceeds go to charity, with the charity changing with each new bundle. Not that it’s not already amazing, you your self can pick how much of your money goes to charity, how much goes to the game developers, and how much goes to the Humble Bundle. To put this in perspective, if you pay $15 to get all eight games, you save $129.
The Humble Bundle is a great way to get a lot of games for cheap, while also giving to charity, and who would object to that? Game on people.
