Six appeal is an all male a capella group residing in St. Paul, MN. Make no mistake about it, Six Appeal isn’t just another group of people hopping on the Pitch Perfect bandwagon. In fact, they’ve been together since December of 2006.
They are most known for mastering a dynamic range of musical styles. They transcend genres and sing everything from jazz to rock. Their arsenal includes covers of hits from many artists including, Gavin DeGraw, Andy Grammer, and One Republic.
The group quickly became a viral and local hit. Recently, they were given the opportunity to open up for and perform with Andy Grammer at his Minneapolis show. Not only were fans pleased, but Andy himself, praised their talents.
When they’re not opening up for chart topping acts, they’re developing their craft and empowering young singers with their educational outreach program.
“Our group is a perfect fit for college shows,” said group member Troy Jones. “We love performing on campuses so coming to SMSU would be great.”
Over the past seven years, the group has garnered over 7,000 likes on facebook, won the 2012 National Harmony Sweepstakes, and performed for audiences across the country. They are a growing brand that had created a great amount of success thus far.
“Our appeal is what makes us stand out,” said Jones. “We can adapt to pretty much any situation, so I think that’s a huge part of our success.”
They currently have an EP on iTunes called FourPlay for only $3.96. The EP includes covers of In Love With a Girl, Apologize, If You Could Only See, and What Hurts the Most.
Whether or not they will get the chance to perform at SMSU is a mystery but they can currently be caught touring many other places. For further information, check out Facebook.com/SixAppeal or check out GetSixAppeal.com.
