While Marshall saw several businesses close this summer, there were also some additions to the city. Among them was a Go-Kart track added in mid-August to Dickey’s Barbeque Pit, in the southeast part of town. For $7 (Or $6 after showing a Mustang I.D.) drivers will get about five minutes to race around the track.
Brandee Klatt, general manager of Dickey’s, says that the Go-Karts “have already increased business.”
Klatt also said she has tried them and greatly enjoys the ride herself.
Bumping into other drivers is discouraged. If a driver gets turned around on the track, other drivers are required to stop until the kart is corrected.
Along with the new go-karts, Dickey’s serves various sandwiches and sports an arcade and mini golf course.
Dickey’s is located off of Highway 23, by the Marshall Walmart. Be sure to check it out!
