The Southwest Minnesota State University tennis team concluded their 2014 regular season, falling 6-3 to the Upper Iowa Peacocks on Sunday, April 13.
In No. 3 doubles, the Mustangs picked up a victory by default due to injury to put points on the board early. In No. 6 doubles, the Mustangs’ Samantha Ritter would also earn a victory due to injury.
In singles matches, Crystal Overbaugh, Katie Kienitz, Shelby Monahan, and Kayla Uphus fell in their matches, giving Upper Iowa an advantage.
SMSU’s Erin Bones earned the Mustangs’ third point in a 6-1,6-1 win in No. 5 singles.
With the loss, the Mustangs conclude their regular season with an overall record of 3-16 and 1-10 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
