As I’m sure everyone knows, last Wednesday was advising day, where almost everyone got a day off from classes to focus on creating their schedules for next semester. Many departments just have the students meet with their advisors, while other departments have one large meet up time for everyone. English club was one of the departments who had one large meet up with all the professors. It was a joyous time, filled with stories, laughter, and hope for the coming semester of classes. But not all was dandy in land of English.
While everyone was joined together in conversation, a trespasser sneaked his way onto the scene. No one noticed his presence, but they noticed his effect. He delayed the coming pizza; he stole documents including the student code sheet, and tried his best to ruin the day. They never caught him, but his deeds did not hinder the English department, for the pizza arrived as foretold and the documents returned. Advising day ended successfully, if only we knew who the mysterious trespasser was. Maybe someday we’ll find out, or maybe we’re all crazy.
