Three of Southwest Minnesota State University’s teams kick-offed their seasons with the annual Basketball “Late Show.”
The men’s, women’s and wheelchair basketball teams all participated in this event, held on Thursday, Oct. 17 in the R/A Facility.
It’s the one time a year all of SMSU basketball teams play in the same place, same night, back-to-back. They perform in eight-minute scrimmages, which were followed by several contests.
The event is free to the public, with many community members coming out to support the teams.
The “Late Show” isn’t just for the teams and public, but SMSU students as well.
Students were able to participate in drawings where they could win a number of prizes – apparel and more.
All three teams will begin their competing seasons throughout the month of November.
