As Southwest Minnesota State University readies itself for new president, Connie J. Gores, it says goodbye to a man who, in his two years serving as interim president, has led the university in this time of transition.
On Thursday, Apr. 25, students, faculty and staff were invited to attend a farewell party for Dr. Ronald A. Wood, held in the upper level of the Student Center from 10-11:30 a.m.
Many were in attendance to give well wishes and goodbyes to Wood.
Several programs were kickstarted during Wood’s presidency. He has been a constant supporter of the people of SMSU and the university as a whole.
Wood’s term will end June 30, when he will pass the torch of president to Gores, who will begin her term the following day, July 1.
The Spur staff wishes to thank Ronald Wood for his term as president. You will be missed!!
