The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team swept the Rollin’ Timberwolves 2-1 in a three-game set over the weekend.
Two games were held on Saturday, Feb. 9 and the other on Sunday, Feb. 10.
The first game saw a victory for the Mustangs, winning 42-30 against the Timberwolves.
However, the Timberwolves came back with a 60-54 score against the Mustangs in the following game.
Both teams returned Sunday to determine who would take the set, with the Mustangs coming out on top.
The Mustangs won the final game with a score of 52-40 over the Rollin’ Timberwolves.
The Mustangs end their season with a 13-13 overall record and will compete in the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament (NIWBT) in March. The tournament will be held Mar. 7-10 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
